Abstract
The school of Incidence is one of the poetic schools in Persian classic poetry which deals with true love. The most important features of the poetry of this school are: reporting biography, improvisation, simplicity of words, honesty of words, expressing the details of love and loving human look. Vashi Bafghi is the greatest poet of the school. The tendency to practice in this school is prevalent among modern poets, notably the poets of new sonnet. Hossein Mozavi is almost at the top of these poets. The present article utilizing an analytical method aims to explore and examine the elements of the school of Incidence in Hossein Monzavi’s sonnets and concludes that the significance of imagism in new sonnet led to a distinction between Monzavi’s sonnets of incidence and those of other poets in this school. Furthermore, the difference in modern man’s response to reality of love, made the incidental content of Monzavi’s sonnets different from the incidental content of sonnets of the other poets in classic school of incidence. As a result, such distinction and points of differences caused the emergence of new movement of sonnet of incidence.
